GB/T 4678.8—2017 Standard Background and Technical Evolution

The GB/T 4678 "Die Casting Die Parts" standard system is divided into 19 parts. This part (Part 8) specifically regulates the technical requirements for die casting die push plates. This revision is based on GB/T 4678.8—2003 and has made a number of technical improvements, including re-arranging the size series, adding material recommendations and optimizing the marking method.

Push plate structural dimension requirements

According to Table 1, the dimension parameters of the push plate include:

• L1: length parameter (in millimeters)
• L2: width parameter
• H: thickness parameter

Recommended dimensions include: 16mm×20mm, 25mm×30mm, etc.

Technical requirements and implementation suggestions

In actual applications, it is recommended to use 45 steel and 3Cr2Mo steel as the push plate materials, ensuring that their hardness range is between 28 HRC and 32 HRC. It is recommended that manufacturers refer to the tolerance grade js10 of GB/T 1801-2009 during the design stage and select appropriate dimensional parameters based on actual needs.
