Water Intake Quota Part 14: Woolen Textile Products (English Version)
As the problem of water shortage in my country becomes increasingly prominent, the country pays more and more attention to the construction of a water-saving society. As an important basis for regulating industrial water management, the GB/T 18916 series of standards are of great significance for promoting enterprises to improve the efficiency of water resource utilization.
As a typical high-water-consuming industry, the formulation and revision of water quotas for the wool textile industry are directly related to the sustainable development of the industry.
Product Name | Process Boundary | Unit | Unit Product Water Intake (cubic meters) | ||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Scourred Wool Tops | Raw Wool - Scoured Wool Tops | m³/t | 12 | 16 | |
Carbonized wool | Raw wool-carbonized wool | m³/t | 16 | 22 |
Water quota refers to the maximum amount of water allowed for the production of a unit product under specific conditions. Enterprises should strictly manage water resources in accordance with the advanced values and general values specified in this standard in actual production.
For example, a wool textile enterprise reduced the water intake per unit product from 16 cubic meters/ton to 12 cubic meters/ton by optimizing the dyeing process and adopting a recycling water system, significantly improving the water-saving effect.
Compared with GB/T 18916.14-2014, the main changes are as follows:
Old version content | New revised content |
---|---|
Scope of application is limited to wool textile enterprises | Extended to all units involved in the production of wool textile products |
The calculation of water intake for auxiliary production systems is not clear | The water intake range for auxiliary and ancillary systems has been added |
To ensure the effective implementation of the standard, enterprises are advised to take the following measures:
