Scope
This standard specifies the inspection objects, reference objects, basic requirements, evaluation indicators and inspection methods for authenticity inspection of remote sensing products, and provides universal (general) norms and principles for authenticity inspection of remote sensing products. This standard applies to the universal authenticity test of remote sensing products.
Introduction

GB/T 36296—2018 Standard Interpretation

1. Scope and applicability of the standard

This standard is applicable to the universal authenticity inspection of remote sensing products, and specifies the inspection objects, reference objects, basic requirements, evaluation indicators and inspection methods.

2. Comparison of standard frameworks

Standard dimensions GB/T 36296—2018 ISO GUM 1995 Other international standards
Inspection object Remote sensing products to be inspected Measurement system uncertainty Not clearly specified
Reference object Measurement data, inspected products Standard materials or models User-defined reference
Evaluation indicators Accuracy (such as root mean square error) and uncertainty (such as standard deviation) Measurement uncertainty No clear requirements

3. Analysis of technical evolution

Remote sensing product authenticity verification technology has evolved from ground verification to model simulation, and then to spatiotemporal trend analysis.

Forward model simulation method evaluates its contribution to the actual results by inputting the remote sensing product to be tested into the tested model. This method further improves the inspection efficiency based on the cross-verification method and the spatial trend analysis method.

4. Implementation suggestions

  • Sample selection:Preferably select areas with consistent spatial, spectral and temporal characteristics, and determine the minimum sample size according to Appendix C.
  • Testing methods:Combining direct testing methods and indirect testing methods to ensure data coverage and reliability.
  • Report writing:Record the characteristics of the product to be tested, the characteristics of the reference object and the test results in the format of Appendix D.
