GB/T 12053-1989 Alphanumeric character sets for optical recognition--Part 1:Character set OCR-A--Shapes and dimensions of the printed image (English Version)
This standard specifies the shape and size of characters, which are not only in line with people's reading habits, but also suitable for machine reading, so as to facilitate and facilitate the application of optical character recognition (OCR) in data processing. This standard specifies the shape and size of printed images of alphanumeric characters, graphics and symbols for optical character recognition, and is also applicable for general purposes. In order to meet the current needs and promote the application of OCR, two sets of character sets are specified. These two character sets are called OCR-A and OCR-B respectively. The OCR-A character set includes a digital subset, and the character shape is designed for a variety of OCR applications. The character size of OCR-A is given in three sizes. The character shape of the OCR-B designed is not only suitable for the OCR system, but also suitable for general purposes in a wider range of applications, without causing excessive inconvenience. Character sizes for OCR-B are given in three dimensions (see Part II).
