Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, symbols, tooth types, tolerances, requirements, inspection, marking and packaging of common thread gauges. This standard applies to common thread gauges with a tooth angle of 60°, a nominal diameter of 1 mm to 355 mm, and a pitch of 0.2 mm to 8 mm. Ordinary thread gauges specified in this standard (hereinafter referred to as "thread gauges") are suitable for testing ordinary threads specified in GB/T 192-2003, GB/T 193-2003, GB/T 196-2003, and GB/T 197-2003.
