Introduction

Analysis of the core content of the standard

GB 43069-2023, as a mandatory national standard in the field of mining cables, has systematically constructed a four-dimensional technical indicator system covering electrical safety, mechanical protection, flame retardant properties and environmental safety for the first time. The standard applies to 8 types of cable products, including rubber sheathed flexible cables and power cables used in underground coal mines and metal/non-metal mines.

Comparison of key technical indicators

Performance category Power cable Rubber sheathed flexible cable Test method
Conductor resistance ≤GB/T 3956 solid conductor value ≤GB/T 3956 soft conductor value GB/T 3048.4
Insulation resistance (MΩ·km) ≥36.7 at 20℃ See classification requirements in Table 1 of the standard GB/T 3048.5
Impulse voltage (kV) 10kV level 60kV peak 6kV level 60kV peak GB/T 3048.13
Bundle burning Class A (≥50mm²) Class B (<50mm²) GB/T 18380.33-35

Key technological breakthroughs

1. Dynamic mechanical performance requirements

The standard specifies for the first time that coal mining machine cables must pass 9000 bending tests (bending radius 150-350mm), and adds:

  • Impact test: 16mm² cable withstands 20kg hammer 1.5m drop impact
  • Crush test: 1.9kV cable needs to withstand 40kN pressure

2. Environmental safety indicators

Triple restrictions on halogen-free cables:

  1. Lead/arsenic content ≤1000mg/kg
  2. Combustion pH value ≥4.3
  3. Light transmittance ≥60% (d>40mm)

Implementation points

Testing and certification

Enterprises should focus on:

  • Type test: Includes all 7 types of mechanical/combustion tests in Appendix BH
  • Factory inspection: must include partial discharge test (sensitivity ≤ 5pC)
  • In-process inspection: at least 1 AC withstand voltage test per year

Laying specifications

Special provisions in Chapter 9 of the standard:

  • Thick steel wire armored cable must be used for well laying
  • The spacing between high and low voltage cables is ≥ 100mm
  • Communication cables should be laid 300mm above power cables
