Scope
This document specifies the test conditions, test gas and general test methods for the performance of household gas combustion appliances (hereinafter referred to as "appliances"). This document is applicable to various household gas water heaters, heaters, heating water boilers, gas cookers and other appliances.
Introduction

Core changes in the standard revision

Contents of the 2008 versionChanges to the 2023 versionTechnical impact
Definition of standard stateDeletedUsing the benchmark state (15℃) uniformly
7 types of test gasesAdded dimethyl ether/biogasCovering new types of gas
Single-point heat load testWeighted calculation of NOx emissionsMore accurate environmental assessment

Analysis of key test methods

1. Heat load test

When using a wet gas flow meter, the following formula (1) should be used for correction:

φc = (1/3.6)×Hir×qv×[(Pamb+Pm)/(Pamb+Pg)]×√[ (101.3+Pg)/101.3 × (Pamb+Pg)/101.3 × 288.15/(273.15+tg) × d/dr ]

Allowable deviation: The deviation between the measured reduced heat load and the rated value should be ≤±10%

2. Air tightness test

Test typeTest pressureJudgment standard
Internal leakage0.6kPa or 1.5 times of working pressure≤0.01mL/min
External leakage15kPaNo bubble generation

Key points of combustion condition test

  • Flame stability:Detect flame lift under 3-1 test gas, detect flashback under 2-3 test gas
  • CO content:Use formula (4) to convert the value when α=1, required to be ≤0.04%
  • Noise test: According to the requirements of Appendix D, the measuring surface is 1m away from the equipment and the background noise correction is ≤3dB

Example of weighted calculation of NOx emissions

The weighting factors of the heating furnace at 70%/60%/40%/20% load are 0.15/0.25/0.30/0.30 respectively. The final emission value is calculated according to formula (C.6):

(NOx)pond = 0.15(NOx)70 + 0.25(NOx)60 + 0.30(NOx)40 + 0.30(NOx)20

Implementation suggestions

  1. The laboratory needs to be equipped with key equipment such as CO analyzer and gas calorimeter (see Appendix A)
  2. For integrated stove products, special attention should be paid to the impact of the exhaust device on the combustion conditions
  3. During the durability test, the pulse ignition device needs to be tested for 20,000 cycles according to 13.2.2
