medical protective mask (English Version)
GB19083-2023 "Technical Requirements for Medical Protective Masks" is the latest standard for self-priming filter masks used in medical environments, replacing the original GB19083-2010. This standard has made a number of technical improvements on the original basis, adding terms and definitions such as dead cavity and total leakage rate, and put forward higher requirements for key indicators such as filtration efficiency and respiratory resistance.
Standard version | Main new content | Technical improvements | Scope of application |
---|---|---|---|
GB19083-2010 | - No dead space, total leakage rate definition - No clear biocompatibility requirements | - Delete surface moisture resistance requirements - Modify microbial index detection method | Applicable to masks for filtering particulate matter in medical environments |
GB19083-2023 | + Dead space, total leakage rate definition + Biocompatibility requirements | + Respiratory resistance test method + Improvement of resistance to synthetic blood penetration | Added requirements for chemical gas protection |
Filtration efficiency: The standard stipulates that under different flow conditions, the filtration efficiency of masks for non-oily particles should meet the requirements of Table 1. New technical requirements for breathing resistance and total leakage rate have been added to ensure the effectiveness and comfort of masks during use.
To ensure that medical protective masks meet the requirements of GB19083-2023, it is recommended to:
