Scope
This document describes the test method for the optical properties of quantum dot light conversion films, including the principle of the method, instruments and equipment, test samples, test procedures, data processing, test reports, etc. This document is applicable to the measurement of the optical properties of quantum dot light conversion films for liquid crystal display devices, and the measurement of the optical properties of other types of light conversion films is carried out by reference.
Introduction

Analysis of the core content of the standard

GB/T 42976-2023 is my country's first special test standard for quantum dot light conversion films. It systematically standardizes the performance indicators (wavelength error ≤ 0.5nm) and the nine-equal-division measurement method of key equipment such as spectral radiance meter, and realizes the accurate calculation of light conversion efficiency through the photon number integral formula:

Key points for test platform construction

The standard requires that the test platform must meet the following requirements:

  • Ambient temperature 23±5℃, humidity 25%-85%
  • The backlight source uses 447.5±2.5nm blue light LED
  • Sample size ≥18cm×18cm, parallel samples ≥3 pieces
  • No-load brightness uniformity ≥90%

The example shows: In the test of 55-inch quantum dot film, the measured brightness uniformity reached 88%, and the light conversion efficiency was 62.5%, which met the standard requirements.
