Ordinary thread limit deviation (English Version)
GB/T 2516-2023, as a core component of the national standard system for ordinary threads, replaces the 2003 version of the standard. This revision simultaneously adopts the ISO 965-3:2021 international standard. The main technical changes include:

1. Coating and plating process control: The standard clearly states that the thread should meet the tolerance band requirements before coating and plating, and the profile after plating shall not exceed the maximum solid tooth profile determined by H/h
2. Inspection points: It is recommended to use thread comprehensive gauge with three-needle method to measure the middle diameter
3. Transition from old to new: Starting from June 1, 2024, new designs must adopt the 2023 version of the standard
