Scope
This document describes the main electrical parameter test methods of high-voltage input power converter modules with DC/DC conversion function. It is applicable to the main electrical parameter test of high-voltage input power modules (hereinafter referred to as power modules) in various electronic equipment, with an input high voltage range of less than 500 V. Other devices with DC/DC conversion function can be used for reference.
Introduction

Interpretation of the core content of the standard

This standard specifies 52 key test methods for DC/DC power converter modules with an input voltage ≤500V, including:

  • Basic parameter test: input voltage range, output ripple, etc.
  • Dynamic characteristics test: load jump response, voltage recovery time, etc.
  • Protection function verification: overvoltage/undervoltage protection, short circuit protection, etc.
  • Special working condition test: capacitive load capacity, parallel working characteristics, etc.

Comparison of key test items

Test category Typical parameters Test accuracy requirements Core instruments
Input Characteristics Vin Range, Ripple Current ±1% High Voltage Differential Probe
Output Characteristics Voltage Regulation, Efficiency ±0.5% Electronic Load
Dynamic Response Recovery Time, Overshoot Voltage ±5% Storage Oscilloscope

Key Points for Test Implementation

Typical test case: efficiency test (5.13)

Test steps:

  1. Connect the DC power supply and the electronic load
  2. Set Vin to the nominal value and load the rated current
  3. Synchronously record the input power (Pin) and output power (Pout)
  4. Calculate according to the formula η=(Pout/Pin)×100%

Notes: For multi-channel output, the power of each channel needs to be accumulated, and the voltage drop of the test line needs to be controlled within 2%

Standard Evolution Analysis

Compared with previous standards, GB/T 43027-2023 adds:

  • Input surge current test (5.34)
  • Pre-bias start-up test (5.41)
  • Parallel operation characteristic test (5.51-5.55)

Reflects the new application requirements of high-voltage power modules in new energy, industrial control and other fields
