GB 4806.13-2023 "National Food Safety Standard Food Contact Composite Materials and Products" was issued on September 6, 2023, and will be officially implemented on September 6, 2024. This standard replaces the original GB 9683-1988 "Composite Food Packaging Bag Hygiene Standard", and has been comprehensively revised in terms of scope of application, technical requirements, microbial limits, etc., to adapt to the technical development and regulatory needs of the food contact materials industry.

Sensory requirements:Composite materials and products for food contact shall comply with the sensory requirements in the corresponding national food safety standards for materials in direct contact with food.
Physical and chemical indicators:Including total migration, potassium permanganate consumption, heavy metals (in terms of Pb) and decolorization test items, the implementation standard is GB 4806.1.
Microbial limits:Composite materials and products that are expected to be in direct contact with food and are not disinfected or cleaned, their microbial limits must comply with the provisions of GB 14934.
