Introduction

Standard Overview and Technical Background

GJB 9470-2018 was issued by the Equipment Development Department of the Central Military Commission, which specifies the technical requirements for stealth non-electrically heated glass and electrically heated glass for ships. This standard integrates multidisciplinary technologies such as materials science, electromagnetics, and environmental engineering, marking an important progress in the systematic construction of stealth materials for ships in my country.

Analysis of core performance indicators

Performance category Non-electrically heated glass Electrically heated glass Test standard
Transmittance ≥70% ≥68% GJB 1088-1991
Radar wave reflectivity 2-18GHz average ≤60% GJB 2038A-2011
Surface resistivity ≤109Ω/□ Four-probe method

Material and structural requirements

Typical structural composition

The standard stipulates that the product should be composed of two or more layers of reinforced glass sandwiched between an interlayer, an electric heating film and a stealth film, among which:

  • Silicate glass must meet the physical toughening requirements of GJB 502A-1998
  • The thickness deviation of the PVB interlayer is controlled within ±0.8mm (d<10mm)
  • Pinholes, spots and other defects in the stealth film are strictly prohibited

Key tests for environmental adaptability

Test items Test conditions Qualification standard
Salt spray test 72±2℃/10d Transmittance reduction ≤2%
Vibration test Roll±45°(cycle 4-25s) No change in appearance
Mold test 4 kinds of fungi including Aspergillus niger Mold growth level ≤Level 2

Implementation suggestions

Key points of production process control

  1. The lamination process needs to maintain a temperature uniformity of ≤11℃
  2. After film deposition, a 72-hour wet heat aging verification should be carried out
  3. Each batch of products must undergo a static pressure damage strength test (≥70kPa)

Quality assurance measures

It is recommended to establish a three-stage inspection system: raw material entry inspection (PVB film moisture content, etc.), process inspection (thickness deviation monitoring), and full factory inspection (including Group B environmental testing).
