Determination of the contents of ferromanganese, manganese-silicon alloys, ferromanganese nitride and metallic manganese-manganese, silicon, phosphorus and iron by wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (cast glass plate method) (English Version)
This standard specifies the method for determining the manganese, silicon, phosphorus and iron contents in ferromanganese, manganese silicon alloy, ferromanganese nitride and metallic manganese by wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (fused glass plate method). This method is applicable to the determination of the mass fraction of each element in the above materials. The determination range is shown in the following table:
Analytical elements | Determination range (mass fraction) % |
---|---|
Manganese (Mn) | 60.00~98.00 |
Silicon (Si) | 0.15~28.00 |
Iron (Fe) | 1.50~23.00 |
Phosphorus (P) | 0.01~0.45 |
Manganese-based ferroalloys play an important role in the steel industry, and their performance depends on the precise ratio of elements. This standard fills the gap in existing detection methods, provides efficient and accurate analytical methods, and provides support for product quality control and production optimization.
Standard elements | GB/T 5686.9—2023 | Comparative analysis |
---|---|---|
Detection method | X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (molten glass sheet method) | Compared with traditional chemical titration, it is more efficient and has a wider range of applications. |
Sample preparation | High-temperature molten cast glass sheet | Ensures uniform distribution of elements and detection accuracy. |
Precision requirements | Repeatability limit r, reproducibility limit R (see standard for specific values) | Strictly control test errors to improve the reliability of results. |
Select an X-ray fluorescence spectrometer that complies with GB/T16597 to ensure stable equipment performance. Regularly conduct standardization inspections and use standard samples to correct instrument drift.
Strictly control the high-temperature melting process to avoid deformation or contamination of the crucible. Accurately weigh reagents and samples to ensure consistent quality of glass sheets.
Perform numerical rounding in accordance with GB/T8170 to ensure that the results meet the requirements of the specification. Record the test conditions, abnormal phenomena and factors that may affect the results in detail.
