Guide of risk assessment of EMC reliability (English Version)
GB/Z37150—2018 "Guidelines for Electromagnetic Compatibility Reliability Risk Assessment" was proposed by the National Technical Committee for Radio Interference Standardization, aiming to guide the scientific assessment of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) risks of equipment, systems and engineering sites. This standard is applicable to manufacturers, users and engineers in various industries and is used to control and reduce EMC risks throughout the product life cycle.
With the widespread application of electronic equipment, electromagnetic interference problems have become increasingly prominent, seriously affecting product quality and reliability. This standard is based on the GB/T1.1—2009 standardization rules, integrating the experience of many domestic authoritative institutions, and combining the international EMC technology development trend to provide manufacturers with a systematic risk assessment method.
Electromagnetic compatibility technology has gone through the following key stages from the initial experimental test stage to the current risk assessment system:
Steps | Description | Key Outputs |
---|---|---|
Clear Environmental Information | Define the use environment and test requirements of the assessment object, and determine the risk management objectives. | Environmental information documents, risk criteria. |
Risk Identification | Discover potential risk factors based on the ideal model and record their impact. | Risk list, risk source analysis report. |
Risk Analysis | Assess the probability of risk occurrence and the severity of consequences, and establish risk level classification. | Risk matrix diagram, risk impact analysis report. |
Risk assessment | Combined with specific assessment techniques, comprehensively evaluate the risk level and formulate response strategies. | Risk scoring table, risk control suggestions. |
In the process of developing a new model of a certain automobile manufacturer, this standard is used to conduct EMC risk assessment. By clarifying the vehicle use environment (such as urban roads, highways, etc.), identifying key risk factors (such as high-frequency signal interference), and using the risk matrix method and hierarchical analysis method for comprehensive evaluation, effective protection measures are finally formulated.
This case demonstrates the effectiveness and operability of the standard in practical applications, especially how to ensure product reliability through hierarchical evaluation in complex systems.
GB/Z37150—2018 standard provides a systematic solution for the scientific management of electromagnetic compatibility risks. Manufacturers and engineers should select appropriate assessment tools (such as risk index method, risk matrix method or hierarchical analysis method) based on specific application scenarios to dynamically optimize risk management strategies.
GB/Z 37150-2018 Guide of risk assessment of EMC reliability was changed to GB/T 37150-2025 Basic requirements for electromagnetic compatibility risk assessment.
